O encontro aconteceu por acaso, quando a modelo e empresária brasileira Karmel Bortoleti esteve na concessionária de Brett David, em Miami. Entre esse primeiro encontro e o próximo, a sintonia foi automática e logo o fogo da paixão surgiu e de lá para cá não se separam mais. Brett, 30 anos, CEO do Prestige Imports Motor Group Miami, começou sua carreira na Prestige aos 19 anos logo após o falecimento do pai. Herdeiro não apenas da parte comercial, mas de valores que formam um homem de sucesso como ética e honestidade, Brett fez o negócio da família prosperar e hoje virou uma referência, não apenas em Miami, mas nos EUA, além de ser a principal concessionária da Lamborghini no país. Cabe a ele estar à frente da Prestige. O resultado de seu trabalho se reflete em números. Para se ter ideia, desde que assumiu a concessionária em 2007, o faturamento ultrapassou um bilhão de dólares em automóveis de luxo. Para os apaixonados por carros de luxo, a Prestige é um verdadeiro parque de diversões. Por lá encontramos os modelos mais incríveis de marcas como Pagani, Porsche, Aston Martin, Ferrari, e claro, Lamborghini. Além desses supercarros, outra paixão de Brett está presente na loja – barcos de luxo como Van Dutch e Midnight Express.
Além do trabalho e momentos de lazer ao lado da sua amada Karmel, Brett também dedica boa parte de seu tempo através de um precioso trabalho feito para organizações de caridade, como Make-A-Wish, American Heart Association e Kids vs. Cancer. Esse trabalho o incentivou a criar sua própria fundação de caridade chamada Ride2Revive, que fornece às crianças afetadas por doenças graves um tratamento digno. Entre suas ações com as instituições de caridade, os eventos sociais está o glamour de seus clientes famosos, tais como Mike Tyson, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson ou DJ Khaled que vão à loja quando querem um hiper carro. Brett segue trilhando com sucesso a vida que deixaria muitos homens com inveja. Porém, sua simplicidade faz seu grande diferencial.

Qual sua origem e onde / quando nasceu? Eu nasci e cresci em Miami. Eu fui abençoado por ter morado na mesma casa em que nasci 31 anos atrás.
Como é sua relação com a família? Possui irmãos? A família é absolutamente tudo para mim. Em uma cidade de fachada artificial, aprendi em ainda muito jovem que a verdadeira família é aquela que você tem em sua volta, é da família que você constrói a verdadeira definição de sucesso. Eu tenho uma mãe incrível com quem tenho a chance de trabalhar todos os dias. Ela é minha família base. Eu tenho uma irmã mais nova de 27, Brooke David e um irmão mais novo, 17, chamado Dax Kaye.
Qual a maior e melhor herança que seus pais deixaram para você e que você leva para o resto da vida? A maior criação que meu pai deixou foi minha irmã. Ela é uma das pessoas mais incríveis que já conheci e tem uma personalidade espelhada em meus pais. Sei que meu pai teria querido que eu guiasse minha irmã na vida e nos negócios.
Quando e como começou seu interesse por carros? Minha paixão por carros, claro, foi criada em uma ainda jovem. Cresci em torno do cheiro de combustível, isso faz algo em um jovem.
Como anda o mercado automobilístico atualmente? Que modelos fazem mais sucesso? O mercado de automóveis hoje está passando por algumas mudanças, e crescimento. O setor automotivo é uma paisagem em mudança maciça. A tecnologia para locação parceira e plataformas de compartilhamento de viagem é o novo futuro. Nós apenas temos que ver como a nova tendência se destaca. Em nossas projeções, vemos que o conceito de oferecer a melhor experiência e adquirir alguns dos veículos mais raros do mundo criou um conceito, mais do que uma concessionária – 41 anos depois, estamos apenas começando.
Qual o perfil do consumidor de carros de alto luxo hoje em dia? A parte mais interessante do meu negócio é conhecer pessoas de todo o mundo que chegam para fazer um momento da vida, ao comprar um super carro e aprendo muito com esses clientes, essa jornada da vida que trazem desafios e tribulações até chegar a esse ponto. Muitas pessoas hoje só olham para os elementos físicos externos e não entendem como foi difícil chegar a esse ponto. As falhas, as vitórias e o crescimento entre tudo isso. Nós lidamos com todos, desde magnatas de negócios a atletas e artistas.
Se considera um cara de sucesso? Sucesso para mim é quando eu tenho uma família própria em um lar feliz. Os bens materiais que a maioria de nós vê, não define o que somos. Caráter e família, é o que nos define. Quando eu tiver minha própria família – em breve, acho que alcançarei o nível de sucesso. Com esta incrível mulher ao meu lado, ninguém me para. Ela é minha verdadeira parceira no crime.
KARMEL
Dona de uma beleza sem igual que só melhora com o tempo, Karmel Bortoleti, natural de Recife, chegou a Miami para morar há 5 anos e de lá não saiu mais. Empresária na área de beleza e modelo profissional, Karmel tem participado de publicidade, vídeos e em breve, encara um novo desafio com seu primeiro filme para o cinema. Ao lado de Brett, forma o casal perfeito tanto para o amor, quanto para o trabalho. Sobre Brett ela declara, “desde a primeira vez que o vi senti algo diferente que nunca havia sentido antes… Me atrai por sua personalidade, um homem de garra, um homem que trabalha duro todos os dias mas não esquece de falar palavras bonitas e ser gentil comigo desde éramos amigos”.
Karmel, já são vários anos morando em Miami. O que a cidade tem que te encanta tanto? Miami é o que eu chamo de cidade maravilhosa. A beleza de Miami é algo que me encanta.
Entre Recife e Miami algo em comum? Sim, beleza natural e as pontes que banham a cidade.
Como resumiria sua trajetória como modelo? Resumiria, dizendo que realizei tudo aquilo que eu buscava alcançar!
Como se define daqui para frente? Quais os planos para 2019? Nossa, o ano está apenas começando e eu tenho muito, muito pra conquistar. E muita surpresa por vir que é segredo. (risos)
Modelo, atriz, apresentadora… como lida com a imagem? Que cuidados procura ter? Eu sou muito tranquila em relação a isso. A única coisa que tenho cuidado é na escolha de trabalhos. Apenas aceito trabalho que não desrespeitem a imagem de mulher e mãe. Procuro sempre adequar os trabalhos que faço com minha personalidade e meu estilo de vida!
Com o convívio com Brett passou a curtir grandes carros ou já era algo familiar? Sempre curti carros bons, mas nunca foi algo que me fascinou. Agora passei a gostar e apreciar muito mais, além de entender muito sobre eles.
Se considera vaidosa? Até que ponto? Do que não abre mão? Me considero vaidosa sim e acho que nós mulheres devemos nos cuidar sempre. Não pela cobrança da sociedade em que vivemos, mas para nos sentirmos bem! Não abro mão de um bom hidrante para o corpo e um serum para o rosto. E água, muita água!

Sim, sim, fomos convidados pelo ator e diretor Rafael Almeida junto com o autor Paulo Araújo para participar do seu mais novo projeto, Um Brasileiro na América, que será filmado em Miami e o elenco está maravilhoso. Está sendo uma honra fazer parte desse projeto com artistas tão renomados.

The meeting happened by chance, while Brazilian model and businesswoman Karmel Bortoleti was at the Brett David dealership in Miami. Between this first encounter and the next one the tuning was automatic and soon the fire of passion arose and from there to here they no longer separate. Brett, 30, CEO of Prestige Imports Motor Group Miami, began his Prestige career at the age of 19 shortly after his father´s death. Heir not only to the commercial enterprise but also the values that make a man successful as well as ethic and honest, Brett made the family business thrive and today it´s a reference not only in Miami, but in the US, besides being the main Lamborghini dealer in the country. He is the head of Prestige. The result of his work is reflected in numbers, to have an idea since he took over the dealership in 2007, earnings surpassed one billion dollars in luxury cars. For those in love with luxury cars, Prestige is an amusement park indeed. There one can find the most incredible models of makes such as Pagani, Porsche, Aston Martin, Ferrari, and of course, Lamborghini. In addition to supercars, another passion for Brett is present in the store, luxury boats like Van Dutch and Midnight Express.
In addition to work and leisure activities in company with his beloved Karmel, Brett also devotes much of his time to the precious work done for charities such as Make-A-Wish, American Heart Association and Kids Vs. Cancer. This work has encouraged him to create his own foundation called Ride2Revive, which provides children affected by fatal illnesses with dignified treatment. Besides his actions with charities, attending social events he deals with the glamour of his famous clients such as Mike Tyson, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson or DJ Khaled who go to the store when they want to purchase a hypercar. Brett keeps on successfully treading life that would leave a man very envious. However, his simplicity makes the great difference.

What is your origin and where/when were you born? Iwas born and raised in Miami. I´m blessed to have lived in the same house where I was born 31 years ago.
How is your relationship with the family? Do you have siblings? Family is absolutely everything to me. In a city of artificial façade, I learned at an early age that the true family is that you have around you and the family you build is the true definition of success. I have an incredible mother that I have the chance to work with every day. She’s my family rock. I have 2 sibilings, a younger sister of 27, Brooke David and a younger brother who´s 17, named Dax Kaye.
What is the greatest and best inheritance your parents left to you and that may lead you for the rest of your life? The greatest creation my father left behind was my sister. She’s one of the most incredible individuals I’ve ever met and has this mirrored personality of my fathers. I´m sure my father would have wanted me to guide my sister in life and business.
When and how did your interest in cars begin? My passion for cars of course was created at a young age. Growing up around the smell of fuel, does something on a young man.
How is the auto market today? Which models make more success? The car market today is going through some changes and growth. The automotive sector is a massively changing landscape. Technologys for peer to peer rentals and ride sharing platforms, is the new future. We just have to observe how the new trend pans out. In our future projections, we envisage that the concept of delivering the best experience and sourcing the market with some of the world’s most rare vehicles, we creating more of a destination than a dealership – 41 years later, were just getting started.
What is the consumer profile of high-end cars nowadays? The most exciting part of my business is meeting people from all over the world that come to make this moment of life, when buying a super car and I learn so much from these clients, this journey in life that challenge and the tribulations we go through to reach to this point. Many people today only look at the outside physical elements and don’t understand how hard getting to that point was. The failures, the victories and the growth in between. We deal with everyone from business moguls to althletes and entertainers.
Do you consider yourself a successful guy? Success to me will be met when I have a family of my own in a happy home. The elements of material goods that most of us see, don’t define who we are. Character and family, defines us. When I have a family of my own – soon, then I think I will have reached a level of success. With this incredible woman by my side, I can be unstoppable. She’s my true partner in crime.
KARMEL
Owner of a unique beauty that only better with time, Karmel Bortoleti, a native of Recife, arrived in Miami to live five years ago, she has not left. A businesswoman in the area of beauty and a professional model, Karmel has participated in publicity, videos and soon faces a new challenge with her first movie for the cinema. Alongside Brett forms the perfect couple for both love and work. About Brett she states, “From the first time I saw him I felt something different that I had never felt before … It attracts me for its personality, a man of strength, a man who works hard every day but does not forget to speak beautiful words and be kind to me since we were friends.”
Karmel, have been living in Miami for several years. What does the city have that you love so much? Miami is what I call a wonderful city. The beauty of Miami is something I love.
Between Recife and Miami something in common? Yes, natural beauty and the bridges that bathe the city.
How would you summarize your trajectory as a model? I would summarize by saying that I accomplished all that I sought to achieve!
How do you define from now on? What are the plans for 2019? Wow, the year is just beginning and I have a lot, a lot to conquer. And a lot of surprise to come is a secret. (laughs)
Model, actress, presenter … how do you deal with the image? What care do you seek to have? I’m very quiet about that. The only thing I’m careful about is choosing jobs. I only accept work that does not disrespect the image of woman and mother. I always try to adapt the work I do with my personality and my lifestyle!
With the conviviality with Brett happened to enjoy great cars or was it something familiar? I always enjoy good cars but it was never something that fascinated me. Now I have come to like and appreciate much more, besides understanding a lot about them.
Do you consider yourself vain? How much? What will not you give up? I consider myself vain and yes I think that we women should always take care of us. Not for the charge of the society we live in but to feel good! I do not give up a good hydrant for the body and a serum for the face. And water, lots of water!
We have heard that you will participate in a Brazilian film to be shot in Miami. Is that right? Tell us a little about the project. Yes, yes, we were invited by actor and director Rafael Almeida along with author Paulo Araújo to participate in his newest project, A Brazilian in America which will be filmed in Miami and the cast is wonderful. It is an honor to be part of this project with such renowned artists.
