Nessa terça foi revelada a lista com os indicados ao Emmy 2020. O anúncio foi feito em um evento virtual mediado pela comediante Leslie Jones, com participação de Josh Gad, Tatiana Maslany e Laverne Cox apresentando os nomeados. Concorrem ao 72º Emmy produções televisivas que foram exibidas entre 1º de junho de 2019 e 31 de maio de 2020. Essa 72ª edição do Emmy vem com novas regras, como o aumento do número de indicados nas categorias de drama e comédia, que subiram de seis para oito. A entrega dos prêmios será em 20 de setembro com apresentação de Jimmy Kimmel (foto acima), pela ABC. Porém, por conta da pandemia do novo coronavírus não se sabe ainda se haverá cerimônia.
